Connections Predict Bold Falcon Run

Owner Terry McDermott believes Intersky Falcon has a ´great chance´ of landing the totesport trophy at Newbury on Saturday.

McDermott represents Intersky Racing who own the nine-year-old and he believes the Jonjo O´Neill trained runner has every chance of lifting the prize.

He is set to carry second top-weight of 11st 7lb if, as expected, Al Eile takes his chance and the predicted good ground is likely to suit.

'He´s definitely an intended runner. All we´re hoping is that the ground stays as it is at the moment, genuine good ground,' McDermott said.

'We´re second top weight giving good horses like Penzance and Akilak a fair bit but that´s for a reason.

'His run at Cheltenham in the Bula behind Harchibald was a cracker. Those two pulled five lengths clear of Faasel up the hill that day and people tell me our horse wants a flat track!

'He´ll get that at Newbury and if they don´t put any more water on the track, he´ll get his ground as well.'
