Cork Racing Tips - 10th May Cork and Naas take centre stage in Ireland on Saturday with a pair of eight-race cards that feature plenty of good-quality action. Racing kicks off at 1.25 at Naas and 1.40 at Cork and it's the latter track we are going to focus on, a card that runs through to the finale at 5.45. His dam was also a bumper winner, so everything points to him as being a stayer in time, but Gordon Elliott's runner still has solid credentials in the opening 2m1f maiden hurdle. Sent off 11/1 for his debut at Gowran, he was in fifth when a faller two from home and he posted a respectable midfield finish at this venue over slightly shorter last time. He's expected to improve now given his connections and Danny Gilligan rode a lovely winner for the yard on Thursday aboard Western Fold at Tipperary. 2.15 Cork - Following Orders @ SP Moving onto the following 2m1f rated novice hurdle, although Following Orders is one of only two in the eight-runner field not to win a race, that could be set to change here for trainer Philip Rothwell. Runner-up in a point-to-point in January, he filled the same spot on his rules debut when running Solsbury Hill close over 2m in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle in March. The son of Order Of St George was sent off favourite for his next maiden hurdle venture at Thurles when a terrible blunder at the last cost him a winning chance, finishing third in the end. Again sent off favourite last time out at Kilbeggan, Following Orders proved to be bitterly disappointing when sixth behind the reopposing Allo Al Khawaneej, but issues in the jumping department cost him again on the day. He's better off at the weights than Allo Al Khawaneej for this race and if he can just cut out those avoidable errors, he should go very close in this. 2.50 Cork - Dippedinmoonlight @ SP A winner of a point-to-point by a staggering 40 lengths around this time last year, Dippedinmoonlight has to be of interest on his hurdling debut after posting some really good bumper form. Emmet Mullins' runner finished second to the classy Mozzies Sister on rules debut at Down Royal, before bolting up over 2m2f next time at Tipperary. He was just behind Mozzies Sister again when third in a Listed bumper at Gowran and in behind that day was the highly progressive bumper horse Seo Linn, as was the opposing Cameletta Vega. On form alone, Dippedinmoonlight should be winning this.
