Sandor faces Galmoy test Paul Nolan is hoping that the future will be come clearer for Sandor Clegane after his run in the John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park on Thursday. The Enniscorthy handler felt that the Fame And Glory gelding didn’t finish off his race over just shy of three miles at Leopardstown over Christmas and is considering a drop in trip. He gives the eight-year-old another shot at the staying trip in the Grade 2 contest tomorrow and his performance there will determine the route connections take for the rest of the season. "I just thought the last day in Leopardstown that he didn't stay,” said Nolan. “He turned in and there was no way you'd say he was going to be beaten 12 lengths fourth from the way he turned in - he did and he was. "I'd have to say maybe with his wind and stuff he just doesn't see out that three miles maybe. We'll see after Thursday if it doesn't work out. We have no business going to a Stayers' Hurdle if he doesn't run extremely well on Thursday. "We'll see how that goes. We'll probably ride him a little bit different, we'll drop him out a little bit more to see would he see out the trip that bit better. If not, we will drop him back in trip."
