Cumani Admits Draw Concern

Luca Cumani is hoping Monte Alto's draw in stall 35 will not work against his progressive three-year-old in tomorrow's totesport.com Cambridgeshire.

The Danehill Dancer colt has been prominent in the market for the nine-furlong cavalry charge since easing to a cosy success in another valuable handicap at Newbury last month.

And while Cumani admits being drawn widest of all is a minor worry, he is delighted to have Johnny Murtagh back in the hotseat.

Of Monte Alto, who will be joined in the race by stablemate River Tiber, Cumani said: 'He's in very good order and came out of the race he won at Newbury very well.

'There is a slight concern about the fact he is drawn 35, widest of all, as we have no evidence as to where the faster ground will be,' he told Racing UK.

'That's a bit of an imponderable but we've got a top-class jockey on him in Johnny Murtagh and we're very happy with him.'
