Curragh Beckons For Evans´ Sprint Star The Kiddykid is on course to attempt to win the Greenland Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday for the second year running. The five-year-old gelding beat Arakan by a head in the Group Three contest over six furlongs last May. Only last week he gave his trainer David Evans his biggest success when lifting the Group Two Duke of York Stakes under Jamie Spencer on the Knavesmire. 'At the moment he´s a definite runner. He´s run there twice before and finished first and second,' Evans said on Monday. 'He´s got a 5lb penalty for winning last week, but I´ve had a look at the race and it is winnable if things go right. 'I don´t know who rides him yet. Jamie will if he´s available but he might be going to Newmarket. 'The horse is in good order and has come out of York in great nick. 'He did it well there and he´s got nothing to prove. It will be a big ask going back there for the Group One Golden Jubilee next month. The ground couldgo against him - it might be rock hard by then.' ? PA Sport
