Curragh cancelled Following an early morning inspection, the meeting scheduled for the Curragh today has been cancelled. Parts of the course were found to be waterlogged after heavy rain over the previous 24 hours. 'Unfortunately it has been cancelled, which is a real shame because it was a cracking card,' said Cliff Noone, press officer for the Irish Turf Club. 'The course is waterlogged in places and there is nothing they can do about it. 'We had a lot of rain, it was a deluge on Saturday and there have been more showers overnight.' Three Group races had been due to take place, the Phoenix Sprint Stakes, the Debutante Stakes and the Royal Whip.
