Curragh option most likely for Lashes

A trip to the Curragh rather than Epsom remains the likely target for Lush Lashes, the impressive winner of the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York on Wednesday.

County Carlow trainer Jim Bolger will take time to reflect on his filly´s five-length victory over Cape Amber, which saw her promoted to as short as 9-4 favourite for the Juddmonte Oaks at Epsom in June.

However, Bolger, who won the 1991 Oaks with Jet Ski Lady, has a current preference for the Darley-sponsored Irish version a few weeks later, which he took six years ago with Margarula.

"It is too soon to tell how she´s taken the race as she has only just arrived back," he reported.

"The plan remains the same as yesterday. We will see how she is in the next few days.

"She has the option of two Oaks and could run in either or both, but the Curragh is more likely at this stage. However, I am not ruling either race in or out."

Lush Lashes was beaten into sixth in the 1000 Guineas but only finished two lengths behind Natagora.

Meanwhile, nothing has changed in the course of action for 2000 Guineas runner-up New Approach. Bolger confirmed his well-being, while the Irish equivalent on Saturday week still his probable next outing with Epsom firmly off the agenda.
