DERBY GOES BACK TO BBC This year`s Vodafone Derby will be broadcast on BBC1 for the first time in 22 years, it was confirmed today. The switch from Channel 4 was announced last November but a finalised move has been held up by the negotiations over the Go Racing media rights deal. The race, run at Epsom on June 9th, will be shown on the BBC`s flagship sports programme, Grandstand. The interim agreement between Epsom and the corporation includes the Vodafone Oaks on June 8th which also transfers from Channel 4. However, future coverage of the Classic still depends on the outcome of the overall negotiations with the Go Racing consortium.
