Daliapour lame after disappointment Daliapour has been found to be lame after his disappointing effort in Sunday`s Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Sha Tin. The Coronation Cup and Hong Kong Vase winner when trained by Sir Michael Stoute faded into sixth after setting a strong pace in the mile-and-a-quarter contest won by German raider Silvano. Dr W H Chan, a local vet, reported that Daliapour was lame in his near-fore on Monday. A nerve block procedure was conducted which determined that the lameness originated from around the near side knee but no bone damage was detected. Consequently, Ivan Allan`s charge will need to perform satisfactorily in a trial and undergo a veterinary examination before racing again. The British import has now finished unplaced in all of his four starts since leaving Stoute`s yard.
