Danak Bids For Five-Timer Danak will attempt to stretch his unbeaten run to five in Sunday´s Amethyst Stakes at Leopardstown.John Oxx´s four-year-old has won a Listed race on his seasonal reappearance and will step up to Group Three company for the first time this weekend.Owned by the Aga Khan, the Pivotal colt holds entries in Group One events later in the season but Oxx is refusing to get too carried away at this stage.'He´s an intended runner on Sunday. He´s won two Listed races and I think it is time to step him up and try a Group Three,' said Oxx.'We´ll see how he gets on but he is in good form.'He had a few problems as a two-year-old which kept him off the track and he didn´t run until summer last year.'He was always a sharp sort but he had a few setbacks which kept him off the track, it wasn´t that he was a late-maturing type.'It was a good race that he won last time and he was lucky to get the verdict but he showed a nice, willing attitude.'It should be another good race on Sunday and it will be a good test for him.'He has some big entries later in the year but I suppose they are just precautionary in case things go really well. You have to have them as they close early.'(C) PA Sport
