Dancer Run Rests On Ground

Conditions need to ease for Boca Dancer to make her seasonal reappearance at Leopardstown on Wednesday.

Trainer Kevin Prendergast reported the unbeaten filly to be ready to run but he is not going to risk her in the Ballycorus Stakes unless there is cut in the ground.

'She´ll run if we get the ground, but the going at the last two meetings at Leopardstown has been exceptionally firm. If it´s firm ground she won´t run,' said the County Kildare trainer.

'We´ve been waiting for the ground for her. We had a very dry spring and we haven´t had much rain.

'She´s ready to roll but we have no other specific plans for her. It all depends if we get the ground. She wants a bit of cut.'

Boca Dancer, who won both her starts as a juvenile, is among 18 five-day confirmations for the Group Three contest over seven furlongs.
