Dancer Set To Sidestep Sandown Jonjo O'Neill's high-class chaser Exotic Dancer is likely to bypass the Betfred Gold Cup at Sandown on April 28.As well as chasing home the brilliant Kauto Star in the King George VI Chase and the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the seven-year-old has won the Paddy Power and Boylesports Gold Cups as well as the Betfair Bowl at Aintree last week.He would be set to carry top-weight at Sandown but despite still being in great nick, the Sir Robert Ogden-owned gelding is likely to be given a break now.'The Betfred is still a possibility but unlike after Cheltenham when we had four weeks in between, there is only a couple of weeks this time,' said Barry Simpson, Ogden's racing manager.'He's had a hard season but Jonjo reports him to be in top form.'It's still a possible but I would say that's it's 75-25 against him running. We would need some softer ground as well and with the present forecast, that is not encouraging.'(C) PA Sport
