Dandy Team Looking To The Skies

Tracey Collins is praying the ground dries out for Dandy Man in the Darley July Cup at Newmarket.

The four-year-old was runner-up to Australian ace Miss Andretti in the King´s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot from what proved a bad draw, and the Curragh trainer is keen to run in the Group One over six furlongs as long as the going is suitable.

'We want to run, it´s wet over there, but we´d be hopeful of running. It can´t rain forever,' said Collins.

'Our horse is very well and if the ground comes up right he´ll run.

'He ran super at Royal Ascot. We were delighted with him.

'He´s won over six already, which people forget about. He´s physically a very strong horse and he came home very well at Ascot.'

Dandy Man is a best-priced 16-1 to take the spoils in the six-furlong showpiece.
