Darley Strengthen Stud Book Street Sense and Hard Spun, first and second in the Kentucky Derby, will both retire to stud at the Darley-owned Jonabell Farm near Lexington at the conclusion of their racing careers.After their exploits at Churchill Downs, the pair went on to finish second and third behind Curlin in the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico last month.Street Sense was voted champion two-year-old male after winning the Breeders' Cup Juvenile last year and has the Breeders' Cup Classic as his major goal this season.He is unlikely to run in leg three of the American Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes, but that race remains an option for Hard Spun.Dan Pride of Darley said: 'Street Sense and Hard Spun are the two most thrilling horses of their generation, each blessed with remarkable, exceptional gifts.'They've achieved so much, and impressed so much, both in victory and also in defeat.
