Davenport Millenium to run in AIG Champion Hurdle despite warnings from Mullins.

Willie Mullins has confirmed that his Davenport Millenium will run in the AIG Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday instead of the gelding contesting the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday.

However, Mullins reported 'Davenport Millenium was one of a group of horses we brought to The Curragh to work this morning. He worked all right, no more than that, and will take his chance.'

Owned by Noel O´Callaghan, Davenport Millenium looked a real Champion Hurdle contender when winning two Grade 1 hurdles at Punchestown in April 2002 but in 2002/3 the gelding endured an injury-plagued season.
