Deegan and Supple in-form Croi Mo Ri, tough and consistent, gained his third win when taking the Chronicle Private Clients Telephone Betting Race for Paul Deegan and Willie Supple. The pair were following up their success with Le Citadel at Naas last night. Mojito Royale was put in favourite for this seven furlong contest this morning but concerns about the ease in the ground saw him drift all the way out to 9/2. Croi Mo Ri meanwhile was 9/4 at least at that stage but he ended up the 11/8 market-leader. The son of Monashee Mountain made all and held off Mojito Royale, who was flying home, by three parts of a length. Deegan commented afterwards, "he is a nice sort of horse and the ground was just soft enough for him there. I didn´t really want him to be in front but Willie made the most of it. He idled a bit in front. If he is alright in the morning he´ll go for the Scurry Handicap at the Curragh on Sunday."
