Details Of The Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Millions 2007 Announced

Chairman of Goffs Bloodstock Sales, Eimear Mulhern announced details of The Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Millions 2007, at a reception in Dublin today. The races will be run on the Goffs Millions Raceday on Friday September 14th at The Curragh Racecourse, Co Kildare. Eimear Mulhern also took the opportunity to unveil supermodel Jasmine Guinness, as the international ambassador this year´s event.

Set to be the most valuable race day in Europe, The Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Millions will carry an even bigger prize fund of ?3.2 million split across just two races ? one exclusively for colts and another for fillies, with the winner of each set to win a staggering ?1 million. Not surprisingly these are Europe´s richest races for 2-year olds making this day one of the most important in the Irish racing calendar.

Eimear Mulhern also announced details of a new Goffs initiative ? the Guineas Bonus ? which is set to further energise the bloodstock industry by bringing the total potential prize fund to ?5.2 million. One colt and one filly at next October´s Goffs Million yearling sale will each win ?1 million in the 2008 Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Millions. Should that same colt go on to victory in the Irish 2000 Guineas or the winner of the fillies Million win the Irish 1000 Guineas the following year, they will win a further ?1 million each compliments of Goffs. 'This thrilling new incentive represents a genuine opportunity for the owner to win not one but two million Euro at no extra cost', said Eimear Mulhern.

This incentive is particularly exciting considering the high calibre of horses to have come out of the Million Sale. The winner of the inaugural Million race was Moyglare Stud Stakes Group 1 winner Miss Beatrix, while Finsceal Beo recently completed an incredible English & Irish 1000 Guineas double. Other graduates include stakes winner, Four Sins and Regime, who will be in action this weekend in the Oaks and Derby at Epsom.

Commenting on his partnership with the Goffs Millions, owner of the Parknasilla Hotel, Bernard McNamara said 'Parknasilla Hotel is being developed into Ireland´s premier luxury five star destination and in our ongoing partnership with Goffs and the Goffs Million Project, we are bringing together two premier brands of outstanding quality'.

Eimear Mulhern, Chairman of Goffs Bloodstock Sales Ltd commented 'The partnership of Goffs and the landmark Parknasilla Hotel will continue to enhance the very exciting Million project, which we will be constantly developing in the coming years. We are firmly committed to developing Goffs into a major global player, selling bloodstock of the highest caliber, providing first class customer focused service to our clients, encouraging new owners into racing while continuing to nurture the relationships with our existing clients and to attract new owners into racing'.

Following the success of the inaugural Goffs Million last September, the Race Day yet again promises to be a truly magnificent occasion, with spectacular racing, pageantry, glamour and entertainment. The fashion stakes are set to be high as Brown Thomas, Ireland´s prestigious department store group, is yet again providing a massive prize fund of ?20,000 to be presented to the Most Stylish Woman on the day. Goffs is delighted to announce that Bank Of Ireland and Boodles jewellers are now Official Partners to the Million.

As the inaugural Million race day last year drew a crowd of over 10,000 ? second only in size to the Irish Derby ? there is no doubt that with such attractions and incentives, the Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Million will attract even larger crowds this September.
