Distant Music retired Former top two-year-old Distant Music has run his last race, it was reported today.Khaled Abdulla`s colt, winner of the Dewhurst Stakes in 1999 when he was officially rated the second best juvenile in Europe, has been retired to stand at Morristown Lattin Stud in Ireland.He won five races in total, including the Goffs International at the Curragh in June.He earned nearly Stg#350,000 in prize money for trainer Barry Hills, who told the Racing Post: 'He was the best two-year-old I have trained and had speed to burn.'He won from seven furlongs to nine furlongs and not many horses win Pattern races at two, three and four.'Prince Khaled`s US star Aptitude has also been retired to stud.The Bobby Frankel-trained Hollywood Gold Cup winner, beaten favourite in last Saturday`s Breeders` Cup Classic, will stand at Juddmonte Farm in Lexington.
