Do The Trick Heads 37 Strong Entry For The Pierse

A big field of thirty seven horses remain in the ?130,000 Pierse Hurdle at Leopardstown this Sunday, including the Mick Halford trained Do The Trick, who remains the 5-1 clear favourite for the two mile contest. On his latest outing the six year old was third in the controversial Star Best For Racing Coverage Handicap Hurdle at Leopardstown on Lexus day.

The winner of the race that day was Streets Of Gold, but the winner was later disqualified, and the first two placing were reversed. The winner in the steward's room that day was Deutschland, and Willie Mullins charge also has an entry in Sunday's contest.

Other notable entries include some other Leopardstown Christmas festival winners like Indian Pace, and Shazand.

There are three British challengers in this Sunday's contest. Karl Burke has entered Arakem and Lemon Silk, while Richard Fahey relies on Dancing Lyra in feature race on Pierse Day at Leopardstown.
