Dobbin set to miss Cyfor ride

Tony Dobbin looks likely to miss the final day of the Cheltenham Festival after picking up an injury on Wednesday.

The jockey suffered a lacerated right eye after a fall from Ryalux in the Mildmay Of Flete Chase and was stood down for 48 hours by the racecourse doctor.

Among four booked rides for the leading northern rider today was Cyfor Malta for Martin Pipe in the Stg#300,000 Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup.

'I`m going to go there and ask him but it`s unlikely I think,' Dobbin said.

'He signed me off for 48 hours and he`s going to assess me to see if I`m going to ride at the weekend I think but the papers seem to think he`s going to review so I`m going to see if I`m riding or not.'
