Doncaster On The Cards For Super Kal Kalahari King is set to continue his racecourse education with an outing at Doncaster later this month.Trainer Ferdy Murphy is keen to keep plans for his Musselburgh winner low-key at present, targeting a novice event at the January 25/26 fixture.The seven-year-old earned rave reviews in breezing to a six-length win last week, but his handler wants better ground for his next run.'We are looking at a few races for him, including an ordinary novice race at the next Doncaster meeting,' said Murphy.'We don't want to run him on heavy ground as he's a very good-actioned horse and it was plenty bad enough for him even though he won at Musselburgh.'Doncaster have a fantastic surface at the moment and although we looked at the Tolworth for him, that just came a bit soon. He's typical of the French horses who improve for a bit of time between races.'There's another race we could consider at Haydock's next meeting, but the ground will be testing enough there so we will look to Doncaster.'Kalahari King, a five-time winner in France, has been well supported with William Hill for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Festival and is now a 16-1 shot from 20s.Murphy added: 'We'll see how he goes and hopefully we will go the Cheltenham(C) PA Sport
