Doncaster Pointment For National Fancy Paul Nicholls´ leading John Smith´s Grand National contender Mr Pointment has been confirmed on course to reappear in the Coolfun Ltd Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster tomorrow. After a thrilling victory in the Becher Chase at Aintree late last year, the ex-Charles Egerton-trained gelding was kept at home until the unveiling of the National weights. The handicapper took a dim view of Mr Pointment, allotting him 11st 8lb, although he remains second-favourite at this stage. "He definitely goes to Doncaster and Ruby Walsh is going up there to ride him," said Nicholls. "I think they are going to get some rain up there. The only concern would be if it was fast ground."
