Downpatrick meeting postponed Downpatrick's two day meeting on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th May has been postponed due to the ongoing foot-and-mouth restrictions in the North.Racing in Northern Ireland was set to resume at the County Down track next week after an absence of four months due to the foot-and-mouth crisis.Racecourse manager Ian Duff has applied to the Turf Club for new dates to stage the meeting.The two day fixture is expected to be rescheduled for Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of June. On Tuesday the Government lifted the ban restricting the movement of racehorses back and forth from Great Britain and over the border.
