Duo supplemented for Champion Following Sakhee`s switch from the Dubai Champion Stakes to the Breeders` Cup his owner, Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, could still be double-handed in Newmarket`s 10-furlong Group One contest.The Marcus Tregoning-trained Albarahin was today supplemented at a cost of Stg#24,000 for the Champion Stakes and could join his stable companion Nayef - also owned by Sheikh Hamdan - in the line up on Saturday.'I think they will probably both run. They are both well and Albarahin is not a pacemaker,' Tregoning said.Albarahin rallied gamely to land a Group Two race at Longchamp last week to earn a step up in grade in the Stg#400,000 feature.Tough Speed, who has progressed from handicapper to Group-race performer this season and has recently been working well on the Newmarket gallops, has also been added to the Champion Stakes field.Sir Michael Stoute`s four-year-old beat subsequent French Group Two winner China Visit at Doncaster last month and still appears to be improving.However, Tough Speed also holds an engagement in the Victor Chandler Challenge Stakes over seven furlongs earlier on the same card.As well as Tough Speed, Stoute has No Excuse Needed, Medicean, Golan and Carnival Dancer, who beat Albarahin by three lengths at Ayr in July, still entered in the Champion Stakes.There were no supplementary entries for the other Group One race on the Champions Day programme, the Darley Dewhurst Stakes.
