Durack on the sidelines

Jockey Seamus Durack faces a spell on the sidelines after a suffering a crashing fall at Doncaster on Saturday.

He came to grief when parting company with the Steve Gollings-trained Springfield Scally in the Tote Scoop6 Handicap Hurdle.

Durack injured his right leg in the process and he said today: 'I don`t think it`s broken but I`m going to get it checked tomorrow.

'It`s painful and very sore. I don`t know how long I will be off _ I`ll just have to play it by ear. I won`t be able to do anything until I can walk on it, I`ll just have to see what the surgeon says tomorrow.'

Ironically, the day had started with a winner for Durack when he guided home 25-1 outsider Mister McGoldrick for Sue Smith in the opening Pardubice Novices` Handicap Hurdle.
