Easyfix Hurdles get thumbs-up

The stewards of the Turf Club have given their approval for plastic type hurdles following successful trials on racetracks during 2008.

The Stewards of the Irish National Hunt Steeplechase Committee met at the Turf Club Offices, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, on 4th November, 2008, and approved the use of Plastic Type Hurdles on Racecourses.

The first version of the hurdle was introduced in September 2006 and graduated through various schooling sessions, modifications, and experimental phases, culminating in their use at all meetings held at Sligo, Roscommon, Ballinrobe and Kilbeggan, during the 2008 season.
