Gordon Elliott completed a first and last race double, and moved onto 30 winners for the season already, when 11/4 favourite Weseekherthere won the the four-year-old bumper in the colours of Dee L'Estrange and Mrs Caren Walsh.

Having run respectably in a couple of maiden hurdles and a Punchestown festival bumper, the daughter of Elusive Pimpernel was prominent throughout towards the outer and led two furlongs out before staying on well to beat the promising Ayiko by a length and a quarter.

"She's a tough filly. I probably didn't go quick enough on her, I probably should have made a bit more use of her,” said winning rider Harry Swan.

“To be fair to her she stayed going and a step up in trip will probably do her no harm.

“She ran on well the last day and she improved tons from it. I think she'll improve again off today and hopefully she can win a few races.”
