Essence works at Churchill Downs Godolphin`s Kentucky Derby hope Essence Of Dubai limbered up for the big day on May 4th with a spin at Churchill Downs yesterday.The UAE Derby winner covered a mile and a quarter under Lee Roebuck, after which Tom Albertrani, assistant to trainer Saeed bin Suroor, said that Essence Of Dubai would probably work again tomorrow.Godolphin`s Kentucky Oaks contenders, Tempera and Imperial Gesture, also galloped over a mile and a quarter.Albertrani added that both fillies will step up their preparations either on Monday or Tuesday of next week.When asked how the chilly mornings may affect the Godolphin horses compared with conditions in Dubai, Albertrani said: 'I would rather it be warm like it was when we came in so they can adjust to being here easier.'
