Extra Flights For Horse Racing Fans

Low fares airline Ryanair revealed today that it was adding 16 extra flights to schedules for horse racing fans heading to the Cheltenham Festival in March.

The services, from Dublin to Birmingham, will allow punters to fly back and forth on the one day and could see the budget carrier flying 25,000 Irish people to the four-day festival.

The airline will provide four extra flights on March 13, 14 and 16. Two extra services will be available on March 15 and one flight added on March 18 and 19. Peter Sherrard, Ryanair´s head of communications, said:

``Over the four days of racing, Ryanair is making a record 25,000 low fare seats available between Dublin and Shannon and Birmingham, East Midlands and Bristol airports. ``

These extra flights will make same day return trips between Dublin and Birmingham possible on each day of the festival for those who want to go racing for one day or support one particular horse as the Irish take on the English and try to improve on last year´s festival record of nine wins.´´
