Fallon concerned over draw Kieren Fallon admitted today that he was concerned about the high draw his expected mount Golan has been allotted in Saturday`s Sagitta 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt will come out of stall 19 for the Rowley Mile test and the three-time champion jockey told the Racing Channel: 'There is a lot of work to be done and a lot to be studied. 'It is a difficult draw for Golan in the Guineas and Tempest (Sir Michael`s other runner) has got a good draw so we will just have to look through the whole race and see who is doing what.' He went on: 'Golan is on the outside and it is going to be difficult, all the fancied horses are from one to something like 10 or 12, and that would be the ideal position to be. 'Nineteen is not a good draw, you will be stuck on the outside and trying to ride a race and trying to follow the right ones, it is going to be very difficult I think.' However, Golan held his position as second favourite with all the leading layers and is generally a 7-1 chance, but Tobougg strengthened at the head of the market despite all the fancied contenders standing their ground. Coral Eurobet have trimmed him from 9-4 to 2-1 (same price as William Hill) while the Tote make him a 5-2 chance from 11-4 to see off his 18 rivals and he has been a popular fancy with punters even though he has not been seen in public this season. He is one of three runners going to post in the colours of the powerful Godolphin operation and the disappointing performances from several of his rivals in their trials has increased support for Frankie Dettori`s mount. The ex-Mick Channon-trained colt will be coming out of stall four and that could well enable him to race on a fresh strip of ground on the stands` side. A quartet comprising of Minardi, one of three Aidan O`Brien challengers, the Greenham Stakes winner Munir, Rumpold, the favourite`s stable companion, and Nayef are on offer a point longer than Golan with Coral Eurobet. O`Brien has also declared King`s County and Darwin, while Godolphin`s third contender Divine Task will have the assistance of reigning champion Kevin Darley. Michael Blanshard, who is looking forward to having his first runner in the colts` Classic, reports that Patsy`s Double is in good form and confirmed that Richard Quinn will ride. Patsy`s Double made his seasonal reappearance at Newbury last month, finishing fifth to Munir in the Greenham, but his Upper Lambourn trainer reasoned: 'It was all a bit of a muddle and was not a true run race. 'He has come out of it well and he has been working well, but he wants faster ground than he had that day and a faster pace and a mile will also suit him better.' Blanshard went on: 'I will leave it up to Richard, but I think we will ride him differently and have him handy this time - he is certainly entitled to be there and I think he has an each way chance.' William Hill bet: 2-1 Tobougg, 7-1 Golan, Nayef, 8-1 Munir, 9-1 Minardi (from 10), Rumpold, 10-1 Frenchmans Bay, Tamburlaine, 16-1 King`s Ironbridge, 25-1 Red Carpet (from 28), 33-1 Divine Task, 40-1 Tempest, 50-1 Darwin, Heretic, Imperial Dancer, King`s County, Patsy`s Double (from 66), 66-1 Mayville Thunder, 100-1 Volata, (all quoted). Coral Eurobet: 2-1 (from 9-4) Tobougg, 7-1 Golan, 8-1 (from 9-1) Minardi, (from 7-1) Munir, Nayef, Rumpold, 11-1 (from 9-1) Tamburlaine, 14-1 Frenchmans Bay, 16-1 King`s Ironbridge, 20-1 Red Carpet, 25-1 Divine Task, Tempest, 33-1 Darwin, 50-1 bar
