Fitz Anticipating Duc Development Mick Fitzgerald expects Royal & SunAlliance Chase candidate Duc De Regniere to benefit from some more racecourse experience in the coming weeks. The Nicky Henderson-trained six-year-old finished third to Tidal Bay on his chasing debut in December before getting off the mark at odds of 2-7 last week.Despite failing to convince everyone with his technique on that occasion, Fitzgerald has been more than happy with his schooling at home.Reflecting on Duc De Regniere's recent win, Fitzgerald said: 'He jumped very, very well really.'He can jump better but I think he just needs all the practice he can get to be more efficient.'He's a very good schooler at home but he hasn't quite shown the same aptitude on the track yet.'We're looking for him to get some more experience and he's only had a few runs over obstacles. I think that's all he's really lacking.'Duc De Regniere is as short as 12-1 with Ladbrokes for the Royal & SunAlliance Chase, although his supporters can take 20s with Coral.(C) PA Sport
