Naas racecourse will continue to monitor conditions ahead of today's scheduled Grade 1 fixture — which is due to begin at 12.30pm, with fog continuing to threaten the fixture.

Clerk of the course Brendan Sheridan reports “we are trying to give it every chance and were waiting for Met Eireann to come back, which they have done, and they are saying it is lifting slowly. However the fact there is no wind to shift it on means it will be slow in lifting.

“We can now see the last fence (from his position) which we couldn't from an earlier report so it is lifting slowly but it is very unpredictable so we will continue to monitor.”
