Fredensborg Has Imperial Aim

Fredensborg will be aimed at the Imperial Cup after his effortless victory at Kempton earlier in the month.

The Sir Robert Ogden-owned seven-year-old was raised 10lb by the handicapper after he defied top-weight in effortless style last time, careering away to win by four lengths.

He holds an entry in the Vincent O´Brien County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival but trainer Carl Llewellyn is eyeing the valuable Sandown event beforehand.

"We´ll probably to go to the Imperial Cup at Sandown first," said Llewellyn.

"He won easy last time but I don´t think it was a great race."
