George Exacts Caution With Talk

Tom George could still run Idle Talk in the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup - despite withdrawing the seven-year-old from the three-mile P & C Morris Novices´ Chase Chepstow on Saturday due to ground concerns.

After walking the course, the Gloucestershire trainer found frosty patches down the back straight and did not want to take any chances with his talented gelding.

George said: 'This is a promising horse who is just not worth risking so I decided to take him out.

'Hopefully, I´ll be able to find another similar race with some soft ground before Cheltenham.'
