Goffs' Bumper Is The World's Richest Goffs Land Rover Sale will increase to two days in 2008, with all horses catalogued eligible for the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the 2009 Punchestown Festival. The race will increase in value to a staggering ?100,000. Goffs Land Rover Sale takes place from 9th to 10th June and will be graded each day, continuing the successful format which has been so popular with buyers. Further incentive for buyers at this year's sale is that the owner of the winning Bumper horse will be presented with the keys to a top end Range Rover for one year. This will be followed by the June National Hunt Sale on 11th and 12th June. Goffs' share of the store horse market has grown from 18.3% to 34.5% since 2000, with turnover in the same period growing from ?3.7m to a massive ?10m, a huge jump of 170%. Average price at the Land Rover Sale has increased by 24% since 2005, and almost doubled in the last five years. Commenting on the changes to the Land Rover Sale and Race format, Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said: 'Goffs Land Rover Sale is the premier source of today's most sought after type of individual ? the early maturing National Hunt horse. It is also the fastest growing store horse sale in Europe, as the significant market share and average price increases prove. In 2007 we enjoyed another record breaking sale which featured the highest priced store ever sold at Goffs, while the range and number of buyers was at an all time high. There was a notable increase in UK trainers present, many whom were first time visitors, clearly attracted by the sale's reputation for producing top class National Hunt winners. The Goffs Land Rover Bumper itself has been an excellent springboard for many top class horses, with past winners including Dual Champion Hurdler Hardy Eustace, Champion Chase winner Newmill, Grade 1 hurdler Glencove Marina and last year's impressive winner Gonebeyondrecall who looks to be a very exciting prospect for this season. Combined with the added value of the exclusive Range Rover prize, this is surely the World's Richest Bumper. Other graduates of the sale include Grade 1 winner and Cheltenham hopeful Joe Lively as well as Grade 1 winners Brave Inca, Beef or Salmon, Schindler's Hunt and Silent Oscar'.
