Good Start for Meade

Noel Meade can only have been encouraged by the performances of Gay Sloane and Gloonan Hill, second and third respectively in the opening two races at Down Royal. Tu Va Stables are having their first runners for ten days following a poor run of form that prompted the champion trainer to temporarily stop making entries. Back To Bid (finished 2nd), Offaly (finished 4th) in the third race, Crooked Street and Moss Road also fly the flag for Meade today.

After the 2.35 Meade commented, "there is one little thing that may have been causing the problem but I don´t want to say anything at this stage as not all the test results are back yet. I certainly feel a lot more positive after the way they´ve been running today and we´ll probably keep tipping away with them now."
