Goodwood Next For Leger Hope Aqaleem Marcus Tregoning has confirmed that Vodafone Derby third Aqaleem will run in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood on July 31.The improving Sinndar colt is a leading fancy for the Ladbrokes St Leger and is on course to take his chance in the final Classic of the season at Doncaster on September 15.Tregoning said: 'We are employing a gradual build up.'At the moment we are taking him step by step. He is due to run in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood and we will take it from there and see how it goes.'He is also entered in the Great Voltigeur at York (August 21), but our first choice will be the Gordon Stakes.'He is in very good form and we are very happy with him.'The Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned three-year-old is a general 5-1 chance behind Soldier Of Fortune for the Leger having finished in the top three in each of his four starts, including a win on his penultimate outing in the totesport Derby Trial at Lingfield.Tregoning added his stable star Sir Percy is 'in great form, but at the moment remains on holiday'.(C) PA Sport
