Gorman Back on Track at Ballinrobe

He may have suffered a reverse at Cork with Three Way Stretch yesterday, but Jim Gorman was back in business with the game All About Timing (bought by his trainer for 5,000 Euros as a yearling) in the median auction maiden at Ballinrobe.

Backed at 11/2 at least this morning, the Chris Hayes-ridden Val Royal gelding ended up the 5/2 market leader and he prevailed in a driving finish by a head from Art Sleuth.

Gorman commented, "I´ve had a good few placings lately so it´s nice to get one home in front. All About Timing is in again at Leopardstown on Wednesday and if he pops out well in the morning he might go there. He will go the handicap route now."

She drifted from 3/1 out to 6/1 for the opener but Denanto belied that apparent lack of confidence when just holding the late surge of Cler by half a length.

Chris Geoghegan was on this one for the in-form Pat Fahy who said, "she got badly jarred up as a three-year-old and didn´t run again so hopefully she´ll be okay after this. Her best form before has been with plenty of cut. She is in again at the weekend."
