Gosden runner second in France

John Gosden`s Chiang Mai was overpowered by the finishing kick of the Danish raider, Dano-Mast, in the Group Two Prix Jean de Chaudenay at Saint-Cloud today.

The ex-Aidan O`Brien-trained runner set out to make all the running in the mile and a half test.

He battled on well when headed but Dano-Mast`s superior acceleration sealed the issue by two lengths on good to soft ground.

Valley Chapel, another Scandinavian raider, was beaten three lengths into third as the foreign runners cleaned up.
