Ground Fears For Shift Henry Cecil believes very testing ground at the Curragh on Sunday could be the main stumbling block to Light Shift's bid for a Classic double in the Darley Irish Oaks. The Niarchos family-owned filly held off the fast-finishing Peeping Fawn by a half a length to give Cecil an eighth victory in the Oaks at Epsom last month.Light Shift could clash with that rival again on Sunday, with Aidan O'Brien's charge having seen off some older rivals when winning the Group One Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh since.'She's in very good form and I'm very happy with her,' said Cecil.'Physically and in her work she has improved from Epsom and I wouldn't swap her for anything.'I just hope it's good or soft ground as if it goes heavy, you are in no-man's land and you never know how they'll cope.'She is only a light little filly. There'll be no excuses unless the ground is bottomless.'(C) PA Sport
