HONG KONG BECKONS FOR JIM - AGAIN Dubai Duty Free winner Jim And Tonic was today handed yet another big Eastern target. The French stalwart, who pipped Fairy King Prawn and Sunline at Nad Al Sheba last Saturday, is among eight overseas horses invited to the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Sha Tin on April 22nd. Francois Doumen has run the seven-year-old five times previously in Hong Kong, where he has won three races -including this 10-furlong event two years ago. Samum and Silvano, both trained by Andreas Schutz, are set to represent Germany. German Derby winner Samum has run his best races in his home country to date but Silvano ran away with the Singapore Cup at Kranji early this month and finished third in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Nad Al Sheba. Sobieski has been invited to run for Godolphin, who have been out of luck in this race since Overbury`s success in 1996. American pair Kerrygold and Lady Lode plus the New Zealanders Kaapstad Way and Cent Home complete the international contingent in a race worth 10million Hong Kong dollars (around stg£900,000).
