HOPES HIGH FOR BEEKEEPER STING Highclere Thoroughbred Racing are hoping to hit the jackpot in tomorrow`s #400,000 Tattersalls Houghton Sales Stakes at Newmarket.The Sir Michael Stoute-trained Beekeeper will run in their colours in the seven-furlong contest, a race they won in 1997 with Tamarisk.The Rainbow Quest colt finished a promising fifth behind Sixty Seconds on his debut at Leicester earlier this month.Highclere`s racing manager Tim Jones said: 'Beekeeper obviously showed a lot of promise when running on so well when fifth at Leicester on his debut earlier this month it was the ideal introduction.'Sir Michael Stoute feels the Rainbow Quest colt has improved since then and recent work shows that Beekeeper is going in the right direction.'Even though he is a maiden this is a race worth having a crack at because so much prize money is on offer.'Jones also had news of Prizeman, like Beekeeper owned by Highclere`s Wyvern Syndicate, who finished fourth behind Atlantis Prince in the Royal Lodge Stakes at Ascot on Sunday.'Prizeman met trouble in running when fourth in the Royal Lodge Stakes yesterday _ he would have been closer if he had had a clear passsage,' Jones added.'It is possible that he may run again this season and will be a nice middle-distance prospect next year.' - PA
