Haatef Handed Minstrel Aim

Haatef is to bypass the Prix Jean Prat and wait for a race at the Curragh on Sunday week.

The colt, trained by Kevin Prendergast, bounced back from a disappointing run in the 2000 Guineas to win at Naas recently.

Now connections have resisted the temptation to return to Group One company in the Prix Jean Prat over a mile at Chantilly on Sunday.

Instead, they have plumped for the Group Three Emirates Airline Minstrel Stakes for three-year-olds and upwards, which will be run over seven furlongs at the Curragh on Darley Irish Oaks day, July 15.

'It was nice for win him get back with a victory last time and he goes to the Curragh,' confirmed Angus Gold, racing manager to owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum.
