Halford On The Move Michael Halford hopes to have his entire 100-strong string installed at his new establishment by the end of the month. It has been two years since work began on the new stables on the Kildangan Road in County Kildare, just a 10-minute drive from his present yard at Pollardstown, the Curragh. The dual-purpose trainer, who has held a licence since January 1984, has been organising the switch and the dream is likely to become reality in the next few weeks.'We're trying to put the finishing touches to it now and get all the horses in by the end of January,' said Halford.'We've been at it just over two years now, putting in our own gallops, swimming pool and spas. We started with a green field.'We've trained 50 horses over there this season. We're close to completing the move now and will soon have the whole lot in there.'(C) PA Sport
