Hepahepa for In Yarak

Hepahepa Naeney gave the unraced In Yarak a dream start to his career at stud as a first runner for the stallion became his first winner when Shay Slevin's four-year-old won the bumper on her debut yesterday at Downpatrick.

The son of Zafonic stands at Castle View Stud, Mannin, Craughwell, Co. Galway owned by Sean Dolan (091-846564/087-6759870). He stands there beside Rainwatch at the operation established in 2002.

This morning Slevin said of his charge, partnered to victory by his son Mark, at 20/1, "I thought the ground was a bit soft for her. She is not too bad though considering that she was very green when she got to the front. She is only 15.2hh but is hardy because yesterday seems to have taken nothing out of her." (EM)
