Hobbs records century of wins Trainer Philip Hobbs sent out his 100th winner of the season when Reiziger battled to a hard-earned victory in the TFM Syntergy Novices` Chase at Newbury this afternoon. The gelding, partnered by Richard Johnson, hit the front approaching the final fence but was forced to pull out all the stops on the run in to hold off the renewed challenge of St Pirran by a length and a quarter. Hobbs said: 'That`s our 100th winner of the season and it`s nice to get it as I didn`t actually think we`d have one today. 'This horse is entered in a few races at the Cheltenham festival but we`ll have to wait and see what we actually do with him.'
