Hourigan Jnr trains Kaffarnie to land gamble

Trainer Michael Hourigan Jnr registered a winner at Sligo this evening when his Kaffarnie landed a gamble to win the Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle.

Ridden by Eoin McCarthy, the daughter of Rudimentary was backed from a 14/1 morning price into her 9/2 SP.

The win was Hourigan´s eight career win and, oddly, four of those wins have now come at this venue.
