Hurricane Heads For Prix Foy

Hurricane Run will bypass the Baileys Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday.

Andre Fabre's brilliant four-year-old will instead remain in France for the Prix Foy at Longchamp on Sunday, where he is likely to go head-to-head with stablemate Shirocco.

'Hurricane Run is staying in France because of the lack of rain in Ireland,' said Fabre.

In the absence of Hurricane Run, Kieren Fallon is pencilled in for the mount of the Aidan O'Brien-trained Dylan Thomas, the Irish Derby winner who never landed in a blow in the Juddmonte at York last time out.

Ballydoyle are likely to be double-handed as Ace, sixth in the Arlington Million last month, is also set to take his chance.

'The plan is for both to run,' O'Brien told the Racing Post.

'Kieren will ride Dylan Thomas and Mick Kinane will probably be on Ace.'
