He was an eyecatching fourth when running on late in the Craven Stakes, but then finished a substandard 13th when returning to Newmarket for the 2000 Guineas. 'We thought he was a top-of-the-ground horse and had hoped he would appreciate the going in the 2000 Guineas,' Chris Richardson, managing director of owners Cheveley Park Stud, told the Racing Post.
