Icon On Coronation Trail

Sixties Icon is on course to bid for a second Group One win in the Vodafone Coronation Cup at Epsom on June 1.

Last year´s St Leger hero put up a fine performance on his return to action when landing the Group Two Jockey Club Stakes by an easy three lengths at Newmarket.

Having won the last British Classic of 2006, Sixties Icon disappointed in the Prix de l´Arc de Triomphe but showed he possesses the necessary toe for 12-furlong races at Headquarters.

Trainer Jeremy Noseda said: 'I was thrilled with Sixties Icon´s first run back of the season.

'There is reason to believe that he has improved again from three to four, although tougher contests lie ahead.'

Speaking on www.jeremynoseda.com, the Shalfleet handler added: 'He returned from his race in absolutely great order and will now be prepared ? as planned ? for a tilt at the Coronation Cup.'
